How can one make a BJD wig?
I am interrested in Asian Ball Jointed Dolls, and I like to make and design my own custom clothing, face ups…etc…
But I wish to learn how to make wigs, and I haven’t been able to find any tutorials.
So if anyone knows of any tutorials or knows personally how to make them I would be very greatful.

I am assuming you are asking about the real BJDs – the $200-$1000 strung resin ball-jointed dolls from Asia (not the 22-27cm plastic and vinyl dolls from Volks and Obitsu which are not BJDs). In the MSD and SD sizes of BJDs the wigs are about 7 to 9 inches around. It would take a lot of wefted hair, mohair or acrylic to make a wig. If you scroll down below the clear caps here, there are cloth wig caps in the most common BJD head sizes (though they are not shown on BJDs)

Some people use fake fur wigs on BJDs too, but the shape of every BJDs head is different and I have seen no exact patterns for fake fur wigs. However people sell fake fur wigs for MSD and SD head sizes on Ebay and in the Den of Angels marketplace.

Personally, I think it would be a lot easier to buy a wig that fits your BJD and is close to what you want and then trim and straighten and/or curl/wave it to what you want. Very hot but not boilng water is used to straighten the hair or shape it to small curlers.
