Looking EVERYWHERE for this ball-jointed doll… Anyone know what its name is?
This IS going to be vague, unfortunately, as I don’t remember much about the doll.
I remember it being from a relatively popular company. It was an adult male BJD dressed in traditional Korean or Japanese garb, I don’t quite remember. The doll’s faceup was quite dark and, if I recall correctly, he had long, straight black hair.
This might be a shot in the dark, but I’ve been looking for him everywhere and just can’t find him.
LUTS may have used that kind of display picture for a doll once, but I noticed they changed some of their pictures so if it was LUTS you might not find that picture again. Blue Blood Doll had a special edition of one of their dolls dressed in kimono but I think it’s sold out and never to be made again. Iplehouse had some dolls dressed in Japanese clothes once but I don’t remember the hair being particularly long. Dollzone also has a few fullsets, including (if I recall correctly) at least one male doll in Chinese/Chinese-inspired clothes and long, straight black hair. You might also consider checking SOOM. There’s a seller that comes up on eBay a lot, I think maybe B&G (Boy and Girl), who often has dolls in Chinese clothing.
Keep in mind that he might have been a special edition or a full set and might be sold out now, or that the doll might be available but the outfit might not.
